Monday, the start of a new week. For most people anyway. They drain their energy during the week, and then recharge over the weekend. They have active social life’s and use the weekend to socialize with all their friends. Most people are so busy during the week, that their weekend time has become ‘holy time’. They put as many social activities in one weekend as they can, to catch up with all of their friends. Making the weekend another chaotic period, leaving little room for ‘recovery’ for the week that lies ahead.

I live in Hilversum, a small city in the Netherlands. Close to my house there’s a moor, I used to go there with my grandma when I was young. And now I still go there from time to time. I go there on walks, to think, to ‘get some fresh air’, to enjoy nature and, of course, because my back needs a little bit of exercise. With my back injury I can barely do any sports. I can’t even go for a run, which I’d much rather do. So walking will have to do, for now.
My life has changed, no doubt. From being active with sports every single day, to not being able to do any form of sport at all. I even made sport my job. I used to work as a personal trainer, giving physical training all day, everyday. I used to play rugby, which made me go to the gym often. Daily routines that I can’t do anymore. I can do sports again in time, but never on the same level as what it used to be and no rugby. And with my current situation I don’t see myself going back to the same line of work either. It’s time for (more) change.
It’s Saturday night and that means ‘fun time’ for a lot of people. People work hard all week long to spend their hard earned money in the pub or club. They post pictures of themselves with their friends on their social media accounts to show the world how amazing their life is. Life in the modern western world is great, right? No one has to worry about their safety and can do/say whatever he or she likes. Every one is used to the comfort our modern western world has to offer.
I haven’t been doing any writing the last couple of days, one of the reasons is that I don’t really know what to write about. I don’t do much on a daily basis, so I sometimes kinda run low on inspiration. And besides the lack of inspiration at the moment, the last 9 days, I’ve been playing this new video game called ‘Sea of Thieves’. A Pirate’s Life For Me.
Modern day technology has been completely embedded in to machines that we use on a daily basis. Everyone nowadays at least has a mobile phone, but there’s a lot more machines that are embed with our technology when you take a look around the house. Home computers, laptops, tablets, tv’s, dryers, washing machines, lights and even vacuum cleaners that vacuum clean the house by itself.
I will be fine, eventually. I’ve been struggling with a severe lower back injury that started roughly 2 years ago. All I can do now, is just wait and sit around and hope for better days. I’ve had 2 surgeries and am still recovering from the second surgery (you can read about that here: 1st blog). I have a long road ahead and patience is what I need, but hardly have..
As a kid I was not that good at making new friends and still aren’t the best. Never had a lot of friends and still don’t have a lot of them either. I can count my friends on one hand. Is this a bad thing? No, I don’t think so. It just means that the select group of people who I see as my friends are ‘loyal friends’. I don’t see them too often, but when we’re together it’s like we see each other every day.
A small insight on how I see my live stream
UFO’s, Unidentified Flying Objects. Aliens? Secret military projects? Natural unexplained phenomena? I don’t know, no one knows. Or do they? Does the government know more and are they just keeping us in the dark? Who would know right? They’re scared that people will start to panic and think the world is gonna end when proof of alien life comes forward. So they do anything to cover up unexplained cases like UFO sightings or other weird stuff.
