Rambling thoughts

I had some stuff wandering around in my mind and just wanted to let it out. This post is the result of a late night writing session on my phone.

Fictional Short Story ‘Day 244’

It's early, 05:00 AM, birds just started chirping, which is a nice sound to wake up to. It's relaxing and it calms my mind. It's better than a loud alarm clock or something. I remember the time I had to get up at this hour to go to work. Sometimes even earlier, so that I could go for a short run before work. As a personal trainer it was important to me that I looked good, but also to be as fit and healthy as I could. I went to bed early, and therefore woke up early too. My biological clock is still the same, but the world has changed a lot.

Beautifully sad

I live in Hilversum, a small city in the Netherlands. Close to my house there's a moor, I used to go there with my grandma when I was young. And now I still go there from time to time. I go there on walks, to think, to 'get some fresh air', to enjoy nature and, of course, because my back needs a little bit of exercise. With my back injury I can barely do any sports. I can't even go for a run, which I'd much rather do. So walking will have to do, for now.

/Care

It's Saturday night and that means 'fun time' for a lot of people. People work hard all week long to spend their hard earned money in the pub or club. They post pictures of themselves with their friends on their social media accounts to show the world how amazing their life is. Life in the modern western world is great, right? No one has to worry about their safety and can do/say whatever he or she likes. Every one is used to the comfort our modern western world has to offer.

Low inspiration, more fictional?

I haven't been doing any writing the last couple of days, one of the reasons is that I don't really know what to write about. I don't do much on a daily basis, so I sometimes kinda run low on inspiration. And besides the lack of inspiration at the moment, the last 9 days, I've been playing this new video game called 'Sea of Thieves'. A Pirate's Life For Me.

‘Our’ Planet

We call it 'our' planet. But who are we to call it ours? As a species we got very lucky during evolution and are now intelligent enough to call this place 'Planet Earth, Our Home World'. The planet is round (sorry #flatearthers haha) and it orbits the sun. Planet Earth's distance is far enough from the sun not to burn and close enough not to freeze. Our planet is in the 'habitable zone' of our star and there's plenty of water on the planet's surface to sustain life.
