‘Adventurous Love’

May 9th 2018, the day I proposed to Aninda and she said yes. I know, we've only known each other for a short amount of time. But when you feel like reborn because of newfound love, you travel the world to see the person you love, you feel extremely happy when you're together with your lover and you feel like you never want to be apart, why wait?

The Builder of Bandung

My great-great-grandfather was known as an 'Empire Builder' and he did great things for Bandung, Indonesia. With this blogpost I will tell you the most important things that I know about my great-great-granddad.

Beautifully sad

I live in Hilversum, a small city in the Netherlands. Close to my house there's a moor, I used to go there with my grandma when I was young. And now I still go there from time to time. I go there on walks, to think, to 'get some fresh air', to enjoy nature and, of course, because my back needs a little bit of exercise. With my back injury I can barely do any sports. I can't even go for a run, which I'd much rather do. So walking will have to do, for now.

Low inspiration, more fictional?

I haven't been doing any writing the last couple of days, one of the reasons is that I don't really know what to write about. I don't do much on a daily basis, so I sometimes kinda run low on inspiration. And besides the lack of inspiration at the moment, the last 9 days, I've been playing this new video game called 'Sea of Thieves'. A Pirate's Life For Me.

‘Our’ Planet

We call it 'our' planet. But who are we to call it ours? As a species we got very lucky during evolution and are now intelligent enough to call this place 'Planet Earth, Our Home World'. The planet is round (sorry #flatearthers haha) and it orbits the sun. Planet Earth's distance is far enough from the sun not to burn and close enough not to freeze. Our planet is in the 'habitable zone' of our star and there's plenty of water on the planet's surface to sustain life.

Fictional Short Story ‘Pirate Round’

All hands on deck! Raise the anchor and lower the sails, we're headed east! 'I command, my crew executes'. In order to succeed, hierarchy is needed, even for free men like us. As we exit the harbor and head east towards open waters we can see the sun setting itself up for a beautiful sunrise, truly a wonderful sight. Nothing beats a clear blue sky and a rising sun on the horizon, never gets old.
