My brother, Sam.
I might not show it too often, but I want you to know that I have mad respect for you. The changes you have gone through, to get where you are today, are crazy! Keep doing what you do, enjoy life and entertain the world.
Sports have always been a huge factor in your life, same as for me. As long as I can remember, you’ve been busy with sports. Judo, Rugby, Tennis, Golf, Kickbox, Fitness and probably even more. You have always been the type of guy that wants to live big, and have big dreams. You are also the type of guy that makes sure those big dreams become reality. Your big dreams already started at a very young age. Remember you wanted to be a rapper? You memorize every single word to each song after hearing it once, and you sing all the words with ease. Remember the time you did a rap song on stage in the Efteling, with Adje? Or the time you performed at our uncles wedding in France? You never really had stage fright to begin with. Always loved attention, and with your recent changes you’ve made a ‘celebrity’ out of yourself from scratch.
I said it before, changes come in all sorts of different shapes and sizes. And a ton of commitment is needed for the changes you’ve been through, but you have pushed through and still are going strong. I was in Boise, USA, when you told me your plan to lose weight. So while I was busy stuffing my face with greasy burgers, you started to throw your life around 360 degrees. You were sick of being fat your whole youth and decided it was time for change. You were already a sportsman on the inside, but didn’t look the part. Nowadays you do look the part and the story you created is one that inspires many.
Even though we aren’t always on the same page, I still want you to know that I love you with all my heart. I know this love is mutual, for the next simple reason: when we were very young, you were watching one of my Rugby matches. I got tackled and you ran onto the pitch, to get the tackler off my back! haha.
I am super proud to call you my brother ❤
